Workers' Compensation

Work-related injuries and illness cost American businesses billions of dollars each year. Direct medical payments make up only part of the cost associated with work-related injuries. Did you know that up to 80 percent of the total cost of work-related injuries is estimated to result from indirect expenses such as recruiting and training new staff, overtime, and lost productivity?

SSPT can help patients regain their pre-injury function and return to work more quickly. SSPT also assists organizations in reducing the risk and financial loss associated with work-related injuries; our therapists have extensive clinical and onsite experience helping companies prevent injuries and improve productivity.

SSPT collaborates with organizations and employees to provide workers' compensation services that include:

  • Appointments within 24 hours of initial contact to facilitate early intervention—a critical first step in achieving positive return-to-work outcomes
  • Return-to-work plans outlining the worker’s plan of care, modified work plan, and interventions that enable the employee to return to work as soon as possible
  • Ongoing functional evaluations to determine the worker’s functional abilities and identify any limitations to returning to work safely
  • Work conditioning programs to assist employees who are past the acute care phase of rehabilitation and have modified work plans to return to work at full capacity
  • Active participation of the injured worker and employer in the development of return-to-work plans and stay-at-work strategies to prevent re-injury and further absences
  • Ongoing communication regarding the worker’s status and return-to-work plan with the employee, employer, case manager, and other parties involved in returning the employee to work

SSPT accepts Workers’ Compensation patients and provides workers' compensation treatment for a wide variety of conditions, including:

  • Ankle sprain
  • ACL injuries
  • Back pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Knee pain
  • Neck pain
  • Shoulder tendinitis
