Your rights

Your privacy is important to us. We feel it is important for you to know and understand your rights as a patient and what you can expect from us as a healthcare provider.

The Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) gives you, the patient, significant rights to understand and control how your health information is used. During you first visit to SSPT, you will be provided with a notice detailing HIPAA and how your information may be used and disclosed. We encourage you to carefully review the notice and contact us if you have any questions.

Medical records

All patient health care information at SSPT is confidential. Therefore, medical records cannot be released to any person without the authorization of the patient or the patient's legally authorized representative (unless authorized by law).
