Kerry recognized early on that her passion for helping people, combined with her thorough analytical skills and her interest in education, created the perfect recipe for becoming an excellent physical therapist.
With her extensive experience in rehabilitating patients with neurological and orthopedic conditions--including dizziness and vertigo, multiple sclerosis, chronic low back and neck pain, and arthritis--Kerry is well equipped to assist patients diagnosed with complex conditions. She has worked as a member of an interdisciplinary medical team and recognizes the importance of providing integrated care and treating the patient as a whole.
Kerry’s approach to physical therapy care is focused on identifying and treating the cause of a person’s complaint, rather than just treating the symptoms. She uses a variety of treatment methods, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and functional retraining, to help patients improve their function and achieve and maintain better health and wellness.
A former collegiate athlete and now a triathlete and runner, Kerry’s first-hand injury experience helps her relate to her patients' frustrations and guide their treatment plans. Kerry integrates scientific evidence and clinical knowledge to provide treatment that is tailored to her patients' needs to help them meet their goals.
Kerry earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Duke University in Durham, NC. She is an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) certified clinical instructor. Her interests include yoga, healthy cooking, hiking, and skiing.
